UKPIA’s representation focuses on common issues relating to these activities, in non-competitive areas. An important element of our role is to inform our members of proposed legislation and related developments, the technical and other impacts, and to help form and advocate the industry’s position on these and other issues likely to affect it.
UKPIA and its members have also committed to taking a lead role in the delivery of Process Safety standards within the downstream industry.
UKPIA is also responsible for co-ordination of downstream emergency response in liaison with member companies and government.
