ACI’s inaugural Ballast Water Management will focus on the fundamental issues relating to the management of ballast water i.e. costs and returns on investments, space for retrofit of systems, stability of ships during exchange and ensuring that crew are adequately trained to handle the systems. Shipowners and managers now need to establish a ballast water management plan resulting in ballast water system being fitted in each vessel in the future. You will also understand the need for alternatives to ballast exchange and the benefits and challenges of using these alternative technologies. This event gives shipping companies the opportunity to hear practical and cost-effective ballast water management plan from their industry peers which will boost their profitability.
