Chip PC Technologies has designed the world's lowest power consumption computers, with an average power consumption of 3W at full working mode, making them the most energy efficient devices available in today’s desktop market. Chip PC Technologies world record power consumption is equivalent to 3% of an average PC and 10% of an average thin client.
Chip PC Technologies is dedicated to devise green technology computers minimizing environmental impact through reduced energy consumption and proven consideration of the environment throughout the design process. The company's computers are especially reliable and durable with a lifespan of 10 years, 3-4 times longer than that of a PC. This contributes to reduction of e-waste and guards against technological obsolescence. Internal product design was optimized to minimum components (100 parts) compared to alternative solutions that have 3-4 times more parts. In addition, the products are miniature in size, RoHS-compliant, and contain no metal-based capacitors or batteries in their design.
ICAX™ Limited implements Interseasonal Heat Transfer™ (IHT™) in a wide range of construction projects with a speciality in ground storage of heating and cooling energy using insulated Thermal Banks™ for interseasonal thermal storage. IHT is a complementary fusion of the two front runners in on site renewable energy: Solar Thermal and Ground Source Heat Pumps. The value of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The value of IHT is greater than the sum of Solar Thermal and GSHP – because adding solar heat into the ground before the winter allows a GSHP to realise its full potential with double the efficiency of a GSHP alone. IHT™ saves over 50% of carbon emissions compared to using a gas boiler for heating. IHT™ saves over 80% of carbon emissions compared to using standard air conditioning and chillers for cooling.
Although the primary function of IHT is to heat and cool buildings without burning fossil fuels this versatile technology, based on Heat Banks, has had successful trials for the Highways Agency at Toddington in clearing ice from roads using ICAX Asphalt Solar Collectors as part of Solar Road Systems.
